Apple – Devonshire Quarrenden
$ 35.50
Description An apple with a distinct taste of strawberry and with crisp white flesh. It’s a very good-looking apple too with yellow underlying it’s scarlet topcoat, and with a good balance of sweet and sharp. This variety was first recorded in 1676 and, as its name implies, originates from Devon. From mid August to September pick and eat straight from the tree or soon after as the lovely texture is quickly lost. This apple is partially self-fertile so it will fruit without a pollinator but you will have heavier yields if another is present. Pollination group B. Spur bearing. The rootstock is MM106, giving a tree of ultimate size approx 3-4m height. 1 year old, bareroot or potted depending on timing (image not of same variety)
